Sofía Barroso
Around Art President
BA in Art History, Universidad Complutense, Madrid. Sofia has run two Art galleries: Arte en Europa and Arte Express. She has directed summer programmes for Syracuse University Centre in Spain (1992-2004); was head curator at the March Foundation Contemporary Art Museum in Palma de Mallorca (1995-1997); has directed the ARCO Collectors Programme for eight years and was member of the Board of Friends of ARCO from 2000 to 2006. She currently serves on the boards of the Jakober, ANAR, Caja de Extremadura, and Zuloaga foundations. Sofia has been organizing cultural travel since 1984.
Our Team
Beatriz Martinez
After studying at the Licée Fraçais in Madrid, she graduated in Art History. Complutense University of Madrid. Afterwards, she got a master degree in Museology. Università Internazionale dell´Arte. Florence (Tecnico in gestione di Musei e Pinacoteche della Regione Toscana). She has collaborated with travel agencies and cultural entities since 1994, either as a guide, or participating in the preparation and organization of programs. She is a fluent spanish, italian, french and english speaker.
Sofía Palazuelo
BA in Marketing and Communications by Emerson College (Boston, Massachussetts). Her previous experience includes the communications consultant agency Llorente & Cuenca in Lima, Peru and the communications departments of Oscar de la Renta and Carolina Herrera in New York. She joined the Around Art team in 2016 to develop customized cultural programs and events. Since her arrival she has also managed cultural activities, events, weddings and shootings at the Palace of Galiana, Toledo.
Moira González
BA in Interior Architecture by Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. She worked for seven years as a senior event planner at A-Tipica, a Spanish luxury wedding and event planning company. In 2019, she joined the Around Art team to manage events, weddings and filming in Palacio de Galiana, Toledo.
